| Good day and welcome!
Please allow me to introduce myself…
I'm Wendy -- island innkeeper, breakfast chef, concierge, and today, your tour guide as I show you around Bellavista Bed & Breakfast…

This is our swimming pool with a large deck and patio area where you can sunbathe and relax to the sounds of calypso music, chirping birds, and flowing water from the pool's fountain. (Click on photo to enlarge) |

| I'm still awestruck by this view everyday. It's a dynamic view as you'll see cruise ships, yachts, sailboats, and seaplanes visiting the harbor. With binoculars in hand, you can preview a number of sites on the historical walking tour from the comfort of your chaise lounge by the pool. (Click on photo to enlarge) |

The patio area is surrounded by flower boxes, and the hillside behind it features these terraced tropical gardens. Here you can stroll along pebbled paths where you'll encounter colorful bougainvillea and hibiscus flowers, fragrant jasmine and plumeria plants, and a diverse array of palms and fruit trees. A hammock, hanging between two trees on the top terrace, offers a perfectly peaceful place for you to relax and savor the splendor of the scenery below.

| As we continue, let me tell you a little bit about the villa which lays within the walls of our gated estate. It was built in the late 1930's in simplistic West Indian style and enhanced over the years by a number of creative and well-endowed owners. Reflecting a true Caribbean palette, it is coral-colored with green roofing and white lattice trim. (Click on photo to enlarge) |
 |
| As we explore the interior, notice the high, old-fashioned, slatted wood ceilings along with fancy, colorful woodwork and custom-designed, louvered doors. |
|
| |
| This is the living room which is artfully appointed with a marble floor, comfortable sofas, and large mirrors along the back wall reflecting the harbor view. This room suitably becomes an open-air, covered patio area by day as two walls of doors open it to the deck. It's a great haven from which to escape the sun without sacrificing outdoor ambiance while you rest, repose, or read--perhaps from the diverse collection of books in our informal lending library.

And this is where you begin your day -- in our dining room. We serve breakfast here in this bright and spacious room surrounded by grand bookcases endowed with the color of sunshine.

Our homemade breakfast is tropically-inspired and features two courses. We begin with sliced fresh fruit--like mango, papaya, and pineapple--and serve mini muffins hot from the oven. Some days we start with our special house recipe “Calypso Crunch” granola. Our beverage selection includes island roasted coffee, assorted teas, and frozen fruit frappes. The main course specialties are banana sour cream waffles, ginger pancakes with mango sauce, crispy coated strawberry french toast, ham and swiss omelet rolls, spinach quiche with red peppers and feta, mini parmesan artichoke casseroles, and cheese blintz breakfast cheesecake. We gladly accommodate vegetarians and guests on special diets. |

And our tour wouldn't be complete without introducing you to my guest relations staff. Latté is a sweet white cat with cinnamon markings. Her schedule is a bit unpredictable but she will occasionally make appearances for guests who fancy felines. Mocha is our new English Springer Spaniel puppy who is a natural at graciously greeting guests. She will gladly offer consolation to those who miss their dogs back home.

And that's it (in a brief pictorial representation)! You can, of course, explore more thoroughly when you come to visit… |
